Three-storied pagoda of Hōkyōintō

Located on the left side of the Bishamondo temple in front of the important cultural proprety Meido, its height is about 182 cm, complete from the foundation to the pagoda finial, and although the age of founding is not clear, it seems to be the work of the Nanboku-chō period. The proportion of the foundation, tower, cone shape etc is satisfactory, such as the kozama, the Sanskrit characters of the tower, the earring of the cone (consisting of two arcs) etc. are also typical characteristics of the Nanboku-chō period respectively. Today, around this tower, sand of the Shikoku Pilgrimage is buried so that you can step on it.
