Kasuga Shrine

According to the shrine’s history, it originates from when the sacred spirit of Kasuga Taisha Shrine in Nara was shared to found this shrine in 1154. The main shrine has a hip-and-gable roof and was built in 1319. It was designated as an Important Cultural Property. It is a two-bay wide and has a rare style as the middle pillar is placed in the center of the front of the main hall. Also, kaerumata struts with elaborate carvings such as arabesque patterns, treasure jewels and swallowtail butterflies are spectacular.
