Kanda Shrine

The deity enshrined in this shrine is Hikokunifuki no Mikoto. If you go through the entrance gate and the approach near the pond, you will find the main shrine with green trees at the back. The main shrine employs sangensha nagare-zukuri [which is three-bays wide and has a flowing style gable roof of the same size on both sides] with a Japanese cypress bark thatching. A tag with construction information stating the year 1370 was also found. Detailed carvings such as those on kaerumata struts and gegyogable pendants are ingenious. It shows the characteristic of the buildings at that time. It was designated as an Important Cultural Property.
