The United Church of Crist in Japan, Katata Church

This is a church hall designed by William Merrell Vories’s architectural office, the Vories & Co. and was completed in 1930. This church hall has a single-lane corridor and a simple roof truss with king posts. Four arched windows in a row on the upper front center and a rectangular prism tower with a pointed roof create a characteristic appearance. The church hall and brick walls were designated as a registered tangible property.
