Yokooyama Burial Mound No.1

Yokooyama Burial Mounds were believed to have been built in the early 7th century at the end of the Kofun Period. They were originally located in the Seta Hills on the left bank of the River Seta, and Sue ware, iron bells, Wadokaichin [one of the oldest official Japanese coinages] have been excavated from the 30 burial mounds. Due to the construction of the Keiji Bypass, Burial Mound No.1, the largest burial mound among those, was transferred to Takebe Jido Park.
