Urabon-e Memorial Service

A Bon memorial service of Miidera Temple is held on August 15 in the new calendar in the Kannondo Hall, the 14th post on Saigoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage. In front of the principal image, a statue of Nyoirin Kannon, a mortuary tablet of three realms is enshrined for every single soul, such as ancestral spirits and deceased people without any relatives to pray for their souls, to be able to go to the Pure Land by chanting sutras and accumulating virtues.
