Mitsuzō-in temple (Shimazaki Tōson’s hall)

When Tōson Shimazaki was 20 years old, in the 26th year of the Meiji Era (1893), he stayed for about 2 months in the Sajōmitsuzoin, in front of the gate of the Ishiyamadera Temple.
He wrote about it for the magazine “Bungakukai”and titled it “Sajōki”. Currently, the Mitsuzō-in templehas been relocated from the Tōdaimon to the end of the extended road approaching the temple, and it remains as a place of affinity for Tōson.
