Mii-dera Temple’s Cultural Property Storage Room

In commemoration of the birth of the Miidera temple’s founder Chiso Daishi in 1150, it was opened in October 2014 in a single-storied building built out of steel reinforced concrete, with a total floor area 464 square meters storage room and, inside, the Momoyama paintings on partitions masterpiece that Kanoumi Tsunobu called Shikishikizu (Flowers and birds) and other national treasures such as Kangakuinkyakuten’s 39 paintings on partitions, Chiso Daishi related statues of Buddha and other Esoteric Buddhist paintings which are all important cultural properties are displayed and stored.
